What Nearkat World knows about you

Effective 19 September 2026. Nearkat World (nearkatworld.com) is run by the team behind Nearkats, the official $NEARKAT game. This page says exactly what the site collects and why.

What we never ask for

We never ask you to connect a wallet, sign a message, approve a transaction or share a seed phrase or private key. A site that asks for any of those in our name is not us.

Looking up a wallet

The Reflection Terminal needs a public Solana address and nothing else. Everything it shows is already public on the Solana blockchain. We don't keep a list of the addresses people look up. The last address you checked is remembered in your own browser so you don't have to paste it again; "forget this wallet" removes it.

Receipts

When you print a receipt we store a snapshot of the numbers, the look of your Nearkat and the wallet address the numbers came from. The address is kept only so the snapshot can be traced to real data; it is never shown on the receipt, in its link, or to anyone who opens it.

You choose what a receipt carries. Any line you switch off before printing is not stored at all. Since 19 September 2026 a printed receipt is also pinned to the public wall of receipts, without the wallet address and without a name; you can untick "Pin it to the wall" before you print, and receipts printed before that date were never added. A name or X handle appears on a receipt only if you ask for it and only over a wallet you have proven on your Nearkat ID.

Your Nearkat

The character you make is saved in your own browser. It only reaches our server as five item names (fur, hat, eyes, neck, background) when you print a receipt.

Accounts (coming soon)

Nearkat IDs are optional. If you make one, we will store the display name you choose, your Nearkat, the wallet you prove you own, and your settings for what other people may see. If you choose to link X, we ask X for the least it allows: who you are. We receive your X username, display name and public profile picture, use X's access once to read them, and throw it away. We never ask for your email address, we cannot post for you or read your messages, and we do not stay connected to your X account. You decide whether your wallet address, holdings or totals are visible to others; by default they are not. If you also play Nearkats, the same account carries your game profile. You will be able to delete your account, and we will update this page before accounts open.

The AI remixer

When you remix a picture, that picture, a drawing of your Nearkat and your description are sent once to OpenAI, whose model makes the result. Nearkat World does not keep your picture or the result: they pass through and are gone. We record only that your Nearkat ID used a remix, when, and what it cost us, so the daily limits work. OpenAI handles what it receives under its own API terms. Don't upload anything you would not want a third party to process.

The meme depot and the videos

Saving a meme or a video downloads a file from this site to your device. Nothing about you is recorded when you do. Posts from X shown on this site are copies we keep ourselves, so reading them does not contact X; the "see it on X" links do.

What we don't do

No advertising, no tracking pixels, no selling or sharing of personal data. Our hosting providers (Vercel for the site, Supabase for the database) keep ordinary server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and reliability.
